We’re starting off the week with a new design that illustrates the beauty of simplicity. Today’s feature is an elegant wedding cake that is perfectly groomed and bursting with great white-on-white details. Pristine tiers of white shimmer softly with just a hint of lustre. While a statement-making rose finds its home in a bed of tulle, perched at the very top. And then there’s the fabulous bottom tier, covered in rows of vertical pleats, cascading down like rippled ribbons. “I wanted to design a cake that reflected the elegance and beauty of a contemporary bride on her special day. A base tier of vertical pleats is reminiscent of the volume of a bridal gown while elegance is epitomized in three upper tiers of lustred perfection, edged with a piped pearl border and satin ribbon. The cake is topped with a romantic oversized sugar rose and casually placed bridal tulle, reflecting a classic veil.”
