Haha! Nice find. I'll have to check out more of this web comic, I love these kinds of things but don't read them enough.

Its acceptable to link directly to web comic images as long as you attribute or link back like you did.

For whatever reason the RSS feed stripped out the actual link and linked back only to the image on your server. Not sure why it did that. Might be on your end or mine, take a look at your feed when you get a chance and let me know.

Yeah, That was my bad :P I posted an autosave which the link was directed to the wrong place. So it probably just posted the old version.

Either way I don't think there are rules for how you post comics :P. I just thought it was awesome and that people might have wanted to see it.

There are actually though it varies on where you go, I look toward the standards seen in larger social media circles like Reddit and Digg. Web comic artists want you to hit their pages and see their comic most encourage direct linking of their images which runs counter to other forms of published image media (this helps the artists because then their server logs will show who is viewing their work even when people don't hit the page the image is on). It makes sense though.

haha sure, its the RSS that screwed up the link back which spurred my first comment. Though IMHO it's still better to link to their copy of the image so they get to see in their logs all the people who are viewing the image. If people look at the image and don't click through the artist has no idea on the volume of eyes that are seeing the work.

Yeah, that was me. It was a ploy to see a flock of chickens fighting though, Mani called me on it. Hey, wait a sec... aren't you the guy that asked me about lemmings? It's right there in the comic you obviously saw before I said that, guy.
