Its acceptable to link directly to web comic images as long as you attribute or link back like you did.
For whatever reason the RSS feed stripped out the actual link and linked back only to the image on your server. Not sure why it did that. Might be on your end or mine, take a look at your feed when you get a chance and let me know.

Either way I don't think there are rules for how you post comics
There are actually though it varies on where you go, I look toward the standards seen in larger social media circles like Reddit and Digg. Web comic artists want you to hit their pages and see their comic most encourage direct linking of their images which runs counter to other forms of published image media (this helps the artists because then their server logs will show who is viewing their work even when people don't hit the page the image is on). It makes sense though.
